Chicana/o Latina/o Faculty Staff Association

Nuestra Misión

Mission 

The function of the Chicana/o Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association (CLFSA) is to accentuate a culturally diverse academic and social environment thereby increasing the Chicana/o Latina/o presence within Washington State University; and to serve as an advocate between the University’s administration and its Chicana/o Latina/o community.

GOALS

  • To provide a support network for Chicana/o Latina/o faculty, staff, and students.
  • To promote the recruitment and retention of Chicana/o Latina/o faculty and staff and students.
  • To support cultural activities and events of interest and benefit to the Chicana/o Latina/o population and community at large.
  • To provide mentoring and support to Chicana/o Latina/o faculty and staff as they seek to address professional concerns within the governance of the WSU system.
  • To address concerns brought forth either within the group or in cooperation with appropriate WSU administrative personnel.

4. Provide constructive feedback and input to staff of Ch/L student center

5. Recognize contributions of CLFS on campus

5. Connect to Chicana/o Latina/o Education Organizations (i.e. NACCS and MALCS)
